Lely Flamingo Island Club -Classics, is a 54 hole golf facility located in Naples, Florida. The facility has three 18-hole golf courses. Two of the courses are public access, they are The Flamingo Island Course and The Mustang course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and Lee Trevino, respectively. The third course is the exclusive private Classics Course, designed by Gary Player.
The Flamingo Course opened for play in 1991.
Robert Trent Jones, Sr. considers the Flamingo Course to be the finest public course he has ever designed. It's located on rigorous terrain with a large variety of hazards. Four sets of tee boxes make this course interesting for all skill levels. The fairways are tree lined, and the greens are fast and undulating. The signature hole is #5, a 200-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot to an island green. Lakes that come into play on eleven holes.
